Maryland federal prosecutors announced an indictment against Marc Aaron Potash, 57, of Rockville. The Tiero founder faces healthcare-fraud and criminal-proceeds charges involving at-home COVID-19 tests.
The indictment alleges more than $100 million in false claims and more than $50 million in insurance payments. Prosecutors say over-the-counter tests were shipped to customers but billed using false information associated with laboratory services. The alleged conduct spans January 2022 through May 2026.
