Maryland’s advance voter registration deadline for the 2026 general election is Tuesday, October 13. The State Board of Elections says online applicants must finish by 11:59 p.m. and recommends accessing the system by 11:50 p.m. Mail applications must be postmarked by October 13.

Missing the advance deadline does not end the opportunity to register. Eligible residents may register at an early voting center in their county from October 22 through October 29 or at their assigned polling place on Election Day, November 3. The state says those registrants should bring an MVA-issued license or identification card, a paycheck, bank statement, utility bill, or another government document showing their name and address.

Early voting centers will be open from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. each day. Election Day polling places will also be open from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m.
