Federal prosecutors in Maryland announced on October 15 that Theodore Lamont Stinson and Theodore Lamont Stinson Jr. were arrested after a grand jury indicted them on conspiracy and related animal-fighting charges. The case concerns an alleged operation in Whiteford, in Harford County.

According to the indictment, the alleged conduct began at least as early as April 2016. Prosecutors say the men operated a kennel called KLK, advertised dogs, arranged sales and transportation, and kept animals for breeding and other activity connected to dog fighting.

The U.S. Attorney's Office said Harford County authorities executed search-and-seizure warrants on July 17, 2025 and recovered 44 pit-bull-type dogs along with veterinary supplies, a breeding stand, a spring pole or rope, and paperwork related to sales and pedigrees.

The charges are pending. The five-year terms cited by prosecutors are statutory maximums for individual offenses, not sentences that have been imposed. A judge would determine any sentence only after a conviction and consideration of federal law and sentencing guidelines.
